Cathy of the Black Spades Bid Whist Club of L.A. and Patricia of the Rise & Fly Fun Club of L.A. won 2 out of 3 games in the preliminary rounds. They then swept through the "Sweet 16 Playoffs" to take the West Coast Bid Whist Title. The tournament was the "Main Event" of the Bicycle Playing Cards Grand Prix Bid Whist Weekend held February 7, 2004 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Los Angeles. It was a good weekend for Cathy & Patricia, they also won a 4th Place prize at the "Saturday Night Fever" tournament held later that day. This tournament had players traveling from New York, Washington DC, Texas, Florida, Nevada, and of course California. We thank all players for participating.
