Jermaine & Sophia of Los Angeles won 2 of 3 games in the Preliminary Rounds, they then swept through the "Sweet 16 Playoffs, to win the Oakland Saturday Morning Early Bird Special Championship. Jermaine & Sophia had a good weekend in Oakland. They finished in the money in 3 of the 4 tournaments held in Oakland. They also took 2nd Place in the Main Event and 2nd Place again in the  Friday Night Special,  . Jermaine and friends are part of the "West Coast Best Group of L.A."  The Early Bird Special Tournament was part of the Bid Whist Across America Tour Oakland Bid Whist Weekend held October 20-21, 2006.
