Ulysses Parker & Denise Gillyard of the Trista
Tall Cans Bid Whist Club of New York City won two out of three games in the
Preliminary rounds, and then swept through the Elite 8 Playoffs to take the 1st place
prize, In The Hartford Grand Prix Main Event Tournament held on July 13, 2002. Parker
and Denise had a great week, they also took 3rd place in the Friday
Night Special Tournament held the night before.

of the New York Whist Lovers.
won all 3 games in the Preliminary rounds. They then swept through the Elite 8
Playoffs until they lost to Parker & Denise in the Championship game. Eugene &
Cletus had a great weekend. This was their first tournament with the Sharks, and they took
2 first place tittles and this 2nd place finish in three of the four tournaments held this
weekend. Congratulations to Eugene & Cletus.
