St. Louis Grand Prix
"Main Event Tournament"
Lou Williams & Terjuan Lister of the Big Apple Bid
Whist League lost their 1st game, but then came back and won the next two in the
Preliminary rounds to make it to the Elite 8 Playoffs. They then swept through the
playoffs and took home the 1st place prize in the St. Louis Main Event Tournament held May
18, 2002. This fine team also took home 1st place in the Saturday Night Fever Tournament held later that night. In
addition they took home 1st place in the West Coast Bid Whist Title held in February, 2002 in Los
Angeles. Congratulations to Lou & Terjuan.
Johnny & Marvin
Win 2nd Place
Johnny Jefferson
& Marvin Reddick
of Dallas & Ft. Worth Texas won 2 games
in the Preliminary rounds. They then preformed flawlessly in the Elite 8 Playoffs until
they lost to Lou & Terjuan in the Championship game. Johnny & Marvin also took
home the 1st place prizes in the Friday
Night Special Tournament held the night before.
Congratulations to Johnny & Marvin.
